One of the most well-known clinical trials on pelvic floor therapy looked at men with erectile dysfunction who were split into two groups. The first group received only lifestyle advice such as diet and exercise, while the second group performed a 12-week pelvic floor training program that targeted the key muscles responsible for erections. Over the course of the study, men in the training group showed significant improvements in erectile rigidity, penetration ability, and overall performance compared to the control group.
What made this trial stand out is that a large percentage of men in the training group regained normal erectile function without any medication at all. Even men who had suffered from ED for years saw marked improvements in a matter of months. This research showed that ED is not only a blood flow or hormone issue - the pelvic floor plays a critical role, and strengthening it can reverse problems naturally.
